About

Welcome!

I have tried to start many blogs in the past. It is easy to see that I am not a professional blogger. I have all these ideas but the bottom line is that I have a short attention span and am easily distracted. Life.Home.Projects is just a place to document the things that are going on in our lives. This is what we are all about...

Life.
About myself: I am a mother of a darling daughter named Kiera and a wonderful baby boy named Liam and yes, you will hear about them often here on the blog... and you will see them too because I love taking photos... even though Kiera doesn't really let me anymore.

I am also a wife. I married my husband in 2011 after being together for seven years. He is the father to both our children, not that it is really any of your concern.
I had my own photography company once upon a time... Laughter & Love Notes Photography. It sounds glamorous but unfortunately I am in an over-saturated market here for photographers. Everywhere you turn it seems like there is another photographer. I decided that even though I love taking photos of my world, I don't have the aggressive business sense required to be really successful in this field.
About Frankie: He is my husband and the love of my life. He is obsessed with computers. He has been rebuilding and installing since I met him. He has been working as the IT supervisor for a movie/retail/rent-to-own company and recently took over as the acting district manager as well.  I am proud of him for this.  I feel that this has marked a milestone for him and for us as a family.
About Kiera: She is a smart beautiful little girl. She has my husband's attention span and my attitude. Neither of which is really the best.  As of November 20, 2018 she is 11 years old and in the fifth grade.  We decided to homeschool her for her third and fourth grade years but she is back in public school and thriving.  I was not happy with some of the things that I saw going on at her previous school as far as teacher involvement, curriculum, and school politics but everything at her new school seems to be going well.  On a personal note about Kiera, she is snarky and wonderful.  She is hitting hard with the preteen attitude a bit early which is clearly going to strain our relationship, but I believe that we will come out on the better side of things.  She is an awesome nerd.
About Liam:  He is our new baby and I am so in love with him.  As of November 20, 2018 he is 3 months old.  He doesn't sleep through the night yet, causing much exhaustion and leading to a new found appreciation of coffee for me.  He is not mobile yet though we believe that he will be very soon.  He is a very happy baby with a funny personality and once you learn his routine, he is easy to care for.  However, he is somehow a morning person, which in our family is an anomaly.  None of the rest of us are morning people.

Home.
I am not an instinctive homemaker. My house is messy more often than it is clean. I don't want it to be but it has always been very difficult for me to keep my house kept up. I want a home that looks like it should be in Better Homes and Gardens.

Projects.
I have a confession... I am addicted to Pintrest. As of today (May 12, 2012) I have 17 different boards. *UPDATE: As of Dec. 9, 2013 I have 53 boards and almost 2800 pins* **UPDATE: As of June 6, 2016 I now have 78 boards and 4450 pins**I will be honest... my obsession with Pintrest is the real reason for me making this blog. I have so many projects that I am planning to do around my house very soon and yes, some of the ideas did come from Pintrest. Some didn't but either way I wanted a place to document my projects.
I also constantly start a photo project called Project 365.  This is a photo project where you are supposed to take and post one photo a day for a year.  I am not good at keeping up with these projects and have yet to finish a single one.  I can't promise that I won't start another but for now I have given up any hope of doing so.

In January of 2018, I started using a bullet journal as my personal planner.  Every year I start the year using a planner and by mid-year I have forgotten all about it.  I didn't do that with the BuJo this year and have kept it up. There are so many beautiful BuJos on pinterest... mine is not one of those.  It is very utilitarian but it has worked for me and I may occasionally share new spreads and ideas here.
